Digital T-shirt printing machine as a high-precision textile printing equipment, its correct operation directly affects the printing quality, equipment life and production safety. The following are the core points to be strictly adhered to in the use of the process:

I. Preparation before starting

1. Environmental inspection

   – Ensure that the working environment is dry and ventilated, the temperature is controlled at 15-30 ℃, humidity 40% -60% (to avoid humidity leading to short-circuiting or ink deterioration within the device).

   – Away from dust, corrosive gases and direct light, the worktable needs to be stable and solid, to avoid vibration affects the printing accuracy.  

2. Material and consumables preparation

   – Confirm the material to be printed T-shirt: cotton, cotton blends and other fabrics need to be pre-treated in advance (such as removing lint, ironing flat), chemical fiber fabrics need to test the compatibility of the ink, to prevent high-temperature printing when the fabric deformation.  

   – Check the ink type: use equipment-specific textile ink (such as water-based pigment ink, dispersion ink), prohibit mixing of different brands or models of ink to avoid chemical reactions clogging the printhead.  

   – Ink cartridges and printhead check: ensure that the ink cartridges are installed in place, sufficient ink residual, no dust or dried ink stains on the surface of the printhead, if necessary, pre-treatment with a special cleaning fluid.  

Second, the operation process specification

1. Equipment warm-up and calibration

   – Wait for the completion of the self-test equipment after power on (usually 3-5 minutes), the implementation of the “printhead calibration” program, through the print test line to adjust the position of the printhead, to ensure that the colors are aligned, no ghosting or broken lines.  

   – According to the thickness of the fabric to adjust the height of the printing platform, to ensure that the distance between the printhead and the fabric for 1-3mm (the distance is too close to easily rubbed dirty printhead, too far to affect the atomization effect).  

2. points of pattern setting  

   – Design files need to comply with the equipment resolution (recommended 300dpi), color mode selection CMYK (to avoid color differences caused by the RGB mode), the pattern edges reserved 1-2mm bleed bit, to prevent cutting errors.  

   – For dark-colored T-shirts, you need to print a white primer (white ink) and set the appropriate white ink concentration (usually 80%-100%) to ensure that the coverage and color reproduction balance.  

3. Printing process monitoring  

   – Before printing, make a test print on a waste cloth of the same material to check color saturation, pattern clarity and adhesion (use fingernails to gently scrape the test) and adjust the parameters before mass production.  

   – Avoid touching the moving parts of the equipment (e.g. printhead slide, conveyor belt) when printing. If there is any abnormality such as paper jam or ink leakage, press the emergency stop button immediately and deal with it after power failure.  

III. Maintenance and care

1. Daily cleaning

   – At the end of the day, use a dust-free cloth dipped in a special cleaning solution to wipe the printhead surface, the implementation of the “printhead moisturizing” program (to prevent the ink from drying out and clogging), and turn off the power of the equipment.  

   – Weekly cleaning of the ink cartridge compartment and piping, check the sealing of the interface to avoid ink leakage; monthly disassembly of the printhead (according to the instructions), using ultrasonic cleaner to clean the internal ink path.  

2. Consumables replacement precautions

   – Replacement of ink cartridges need to be powered off, the new ink cartridges need to be opened and left for 10 minutes to allow full penetration of ink, after installation, the implementation of the “Ink Fill” program to eliminate air bubbles.

   – Printheads are wearing parts, if there are frequent disconnections and cleaning is ineffective, you need to replace the printhead with the same type in a timely manner to avoid damage to the drive circuit.  

3. Long-term downtime maintenance

   – If the machine is shut down for more than 7 days, it is necessary to empty the remaining ink in the pipeline, use a special cleaning solution to flush the printhead and pipeline, and then install the moisturizing cartridge to prevent parts from rusting or ink solidification.  

 IV. Safety and Environmental Requirements

1. Safe Operation

   – Operators need to wear protective gloves (to avoid ink contact with the skin), goggles (to prevent ink splashes), prohibit smoking or eating and drinking next to the equipment.  

   – The grounding of the equipment needs to be reliable to avoid electrostatic breakdown of the circuit; regularly check the insulation layer of the power cord and replace it immediately when it is broken.  

2. Environmental Protection Disposal  

   – Waste ink cartridges and cleaning waste liquid are hazardous wastes, which need to be sealed and handed over to qualified environmental protection organizations for disposal, and it is prohibited to discard them at will.  

   – Waste cloth and residual ink after printing should be collected separately. Water-based ink can be treated as general industrial waste and solvent-based ink should be stored separately.  

V. Common Problems

– Pattern blurring / ghosting: check printhead calibration parameters, adjust platform height or conveyor speed.  

– Color deviation: Recalibrate the ICC color file and replace the expired ink.

– Poor ink adhesion: Confirm whether the fabric pretreatment is in place, increase the drying temperature (usually 130-160 ℃ for 30-60 seconds).
